So, if you want to concentrate on sports conditioning, toning those abs or you need to work on your cardio endurance for a big race, you just need to let your coach know!Group Training is a rewarding motivator. If you’re looking to lose some weight, improve your yoga flexibility or you want to work on your muscular strength, attending group fitness classes will give you the opportunity to meet like-minded people with similar goals. You’ll be able to make new friends and keep each other motivated!In-Home Coaching is perfect for busy mums or if your career doesn’t give you a lot of free time. Without the need to travel to and from the gym, you’ll save bags of time and have all the benefits of personal training at the gym!Personal Training Sessions at the Gym demands a bit more motivation since you have to get yourself dressed and out of the house â€" but it’s perfectly doable! Training at the gym, with or without an accredited fitness professional by your side, puts you in charge of your own fitness career. You’ll need to take more responsibility when it comes to sticking to your functional training plan as you will be responsible for turning up to the gym on time. However, it’s not as difficult as it seems. The hardest part really is leaving the house. Once you’ve arrived at the gym, you’ll know exactly what you need to do.When it comes to making a decision on a health and fitness coaching, taking your needs, goals and financial situation into account, the choice is yours!Health and Fitness Coaching: A Brief HistoryAs we mentioned earlier, ‘coaching’ in the context of sports and exercise entered common use in the 1860’s, but how recent is personal training for amateur athletes?Although the terms ‘fitness’ and ‘personal training’ are relatively new, this doesn’t mean that exercise itself is a new invention!Let’s start from the beginning, with prehistoric man.Did they follow a personal training program to increase their muscle mass?In a way, yes, they did!But obviously, this was not considered to be ‘training’ or ‘preparation’ for a competition. In fact, it was about becoming stronger and more skilled to increase their chances of survival. So, even the earliest humans had to run, jump, climb and fight to be able to eat, drink and simply survive. The earliest training programs appeared with the earliest known wars. The Persians and the Romans, for example, imposed drastic physical preparation on all young men in their forces in order to win battles and conquer new territories. The Olympic Games were born in ancient times and were organised by the Greek cities in honour of Zeus, the god of sky and thunder. In the Middle Ages, it was normal to not pay so much attention to your body, as dedicating yourself to the spirit was the preoccupation of the time. The Renaissance saw the publication of the first works entirely dedicated to sport and training. It’s the Industrial Revolution that witnes sed the beginnings of fitness training as we know it today. Of course, as the machines took over more and more of the manual tasks, workers moved into offices and sedentary lifestyles began to creep in. For this reason, it was necessary to find a different way of moving.Thousands of years on and the Olympics is still here! ¦ source: Pixabay - diego_torresGym equipment and training machines started to appear on the market and exercising at the gym became a leisure activity enjoyed by many. The 20th century saw the true launch of the fitness industry, when chains of gyms and fitness clubs began appearing and more and more people began their journeys to a healthier life. The Future of Personal TrainingWe’d like to imagine that fitness culture had got past 1980’s-style aerobic workout videos.Today, with the phenomenon of the World Wide Web, social networking and fitness apps, it’s possible to do Pilates, dance and bodyweight workouts just about anywhere! But what does the future hol d for the world of health and fitness? It’s impossible to precisely predict the future, but there are new developments which can give us a clue. With the emergence of CrossFit, the return of toning muscles is more evident than ever. The difference between this practice in earlier days and now is that today, women are more widely represented in sport, and this is encouraging more women to participate and get fit.CrossFit can be practised as a couple or as a group, which will keep you motivated and help you sculpt your ideal body. So, should we expect a comeback for bodybuilding? Maybe not, but what is certain is that muscle toning is gaining popularity among athletes of all ages and backgrounds. However, large gyms and health clubs with lots of complex machines can be intimidating to a lot of athletes, and this is the reason why so many people prefer more modest fitness clubs. So, larger gyms are predicted to lose profits, but will they disappear for good? We can’t say yet, but as long as they continue to listen to their clientele, they should be able to keep up with the changing industry and continue to flourish. And what about personal trainers? With workout culture thriving on social networks, it is becoming easier to create communities of like-minded people working towards their fitness goals. One example of this is Strava, a workout-tracking app which is particularly useful for logging running, cycling and swimming. On Strava, you can follow other users who cover the same courses as you, or even just follow your friends.Every time you complete a workout, you can share it to your feed, and your followers give you ‘Kudos’, keeping you proud of your achievements and motivated to carry on.Many run clubs across the country also have their own Facebook pages, where members can post about their training and upcoming sessions. So, if you’re ready to join an online community and keep track of your peers’ progress as well as sharing your own, the tools are there!Ho w the Internet has Changed the World of Personal Sports CoachingThanks to the internet, anyone can have an all-access pass to all sorts of information. You could find information on anything from perfecting your training techniques to post-workout nutrition advice. The web also offers you the opportunity to compare types and prices of personal trainers, and thanks to the high amount of competition, you’ll find that they’re more affordable than you may think!Aside from helping you with real-life sports coaching, the internet can provide distance or digital coaching via webcam or using a workout app.Use fitness apps for complete workouts in your own home ¦ source: Pixabay - photodeinymTo become a personal trainer today and achieve your marketing targets, you have to know how to stand out - customers can choose from a plethora of online coaches, and you need to make sure they choose you!As a coach with an online presence, you should nurture your e-reputation and be ultra-responsive online on:Online platforms such as SuperprofYour own websiteSocial networksIf you’re an aspiring athlete, you will be able to benefit from the amount of competition in the personal training market. Somos mais racionais quando pensamos em outros idiomas

Somos mais racionais quando pensamos em outros idiomas Salvatore Vuono / FreeDigitalPhotos.netAo apresentar o estudo The Foreign-Language Effect, o pesquisador Boaz Keysar, da Universidade de Chicago, fez a seguinte pergunta: Would you make the same decisions in a foreign language as you would in your native tongue?

Why I Teach Art...

Why I Teach Art... “Diamonds are created under pressure.”One of my teachers told me this on a day when I was having a particularly hard time finishing an art project at school. I asked her why she said it, and she explained that even in the most difficult moments in our lives, we have the ability to generate sparkling brilliance….like a diamond. A new-found sense of possibility came into my spirit and I was able to create a beautiful sculpture out of the clay that I thought would forever remain a blob on the table!Children have an amazing ability to discover deep feelings and inspiration through creating art. Art allows us all to capture our imaginations and then interpret what we see in our minds eye through clay, paint, photography, tissue paper, mosaics or whatever we can get our hands on and heads around.I believe in teaching Art as if it is not simply the facility of learning how to manipulate a material or a achieving a skill or technique. I teach art as if it is a life lesson, a history le sson and journey to the core of the human soul.Art is a reflection of the human experience, therefore I teach the social and cultural context of an art-form first. Why was this particular art-form important? How did it function within a culture? History? What effect did it have on people? Then we go about learning materials, texture, technique and exploring the creative process….always asking questions and nurturing critical thinking skills along the way. Then we start laying out the piece, using math and geometry to plan how we will display or install the piece when it is finished….discussing what we have learned and what the final piece means to us individually and as a group.I teach children that there is a beginning, middle and end to the process of creating. I teach them to think about how it will be presented, who will the audience be that receives it, and how might people interpret the piece when they see it?In that essence, I tell my students that there are no mistakes in Art, because Art is honest communication. Just like our feelings, every artistic moment is a chance to express what we feel, how strongly we feel, and make a choice about how we will interpret the ways we feel.Being able to take children on such a personal journey is both a great responsibility and tremendous joy. The Arts have the abilty to open our minds, heal our hearts and make the World a more interesting place. That is why I teach ART……

Brooklyn`s Diverse Population is United in its Outstanding Schools

Brooklyn`s Diverse Population is United in its Outstanding Schools We have to thank the Dutch people for putting Brooklyn on the map when they created the small settlement of Breuckelen on the East River shore in 1646. Only 18 years later the English conquered the New Netherlands and with it Brooklyn. The town formed, together with five other Dutch settlements, the new Kings County. In the beginning of the 19th century Brooklyn was a quaint town with Colonial Style houses, many chimneys and horse carriages being the backbone of transportation. Francis Guys painting Winter Scene in Brooklyn provides a glimpse back into that time. The town sprang up when a reliable steam ferry service across the East River allowed its citizens to work on Wall Street by the thousands. The middle of the century brought manufacturing and ship building to Brooklyn. The famous USS Monitor the first ironclad warship commissioned by the US Navy was built here. In 1883 the Brooklyn Bridge was opened fusing New York city and Brooklyn together.  Learn more about Brooklyns history from one of TutorZ history tutors. Today Brooklyn is the most populous of New York Citys five boroughs, with about 2.5 million people a vibrant construction and service industry as well as a niche in manufacturing, such as furniture. Although not quite Wall Street, Brooklyns 21 credit unions and 37 banks make the town a center of finance. Brooklyn is famous for its diverse populations. Irish, Jews, Pakistani, Russians, Ukrainians live mostly peaceful with Hispanics, Caribbean, Italian, Asian and African Americans. No degree 5 places to consider teaching English abroad so you can see the world this year

No degree 5 places to consider teaching English abroad so you can see the world this year Teaching English abroad is a dream for many of us. It’s a chance to shake up the ordinary and throw yourself into a new experience. It’s a chance to live somewhere completely different and spend time traveling. It’s a chance to impact the lives of children while learning about what it means to be a teacher. No matter what you hope to gain from teaching abroad, it’s an experience that will change you and your life. Can I teach English abroad without a degree? If this blog title caught your attention, you’re probably wondering what qualifications you need to secure a teaching position abroad - is a degree one of them? And, more than likely, hoping you can still find some awesome ESL jobs abroad without a degree. If you’re still in school (or are doing just fine without college ) and thinking it’s impossible to find a teaching job anywhere in the world without at least a bachelor’s degree - think again! There’s something on this list for you. The lowdown on teaching English abroad without a bachelor's degree Now that we’ve got your eyeballs, it's time for some words of caution and advice. Nowadays, hiring schools in many of the bigger English teaching hotspots overseas will reject applicants who don’t have a bachelor’s degree - or some sort of post-secondary education, like a diploma or certificate. Typically, the most sought-after teaching jobs abroad (those that pay well, in reputable schools) do require a minimum of a bachelor’s degree to apply. Here’s why you can’t teach in, say, Korea or Japan, without a degree The reason for this is a combination of government rules, visa restrictions or, in some cases, simply the school’s preference. Although it’s not the be all and end all in life, a bachelor’s degree provides hiring schools abroad with a uniform level of experience against which to assess candidates. There are certain regions of the world like the Middle East and parts of Asia that are particularly strict when it comes to qualifications. You can’t teach English in China and Korea, for instance, without a degree. You probably can’t teach English online without a degree, either. So, if you’re still eager to jump into teaching abroad before graduation, just know that the search may be more slightly more difficult and time consuming than if you wait until after graduation. However, there are still some wonderful locations to choose from that do accept applications from English teachers without a degree. In these locations, the demand for teachers is so high that the minimum requirements are slightly less strict. Which is great news for you. And, as always, to really enhance your job prospects (with or without a degree), we can’t recommend enough investing in a TEFL course! Recommended reading: Can you get a teaching job in China without a degree? So take note: If you get your TEFL certification first, your chances of finding a teaching position abroad without a degree will greatly improve. In short, no degree and no TEFL is the death knell for your job prospects in the global ESL job market. With that out of the way, let’s get into our favorite countries that don’t require a degree to teach English. Why are these our top 5 places to teach English abroad without a degree? These countries are unique, culturally interesting, on almost all continents on the globe and offer a variety of ESL jobs - no degree needed. In fact, you might be inspired to pick up some handy Spanish phrases after reviewing this list - a whopping four out of five of these places have Spanish as their country’s first language! But don’t worry, English is still a widely spoken and understood language in all of these five places. Where to teach English in Central and South America if you don’t have a degree Mexico Private language schools in Mexico usually require a bachelor’s degree, but not always. In fact, the government of Mexico recently made it possible for English teachers to obtain work permits as long as they hold a TEFL certification. So if you don’t have a degree but are interested in getting your TEFL, you’d be set for Mexico! Most schools in Mexico do not provide accomodation for teachers as part of their package. Luckily, the cost of living and rent is inexpensive so you should be able to live a comfortable lifestyle in this tropical country. You can’t really argue with the perks of teaching in Mexico. Most teachers spend their off time in one of the country’s many resorts in Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco or Playa del Carmen. Got a degree? You’re in luck - it’s time to find out which countries pay the most money for teachers abroad! Sign up to Teach Away today for access to the latest teaching jobs around the world. Nicaragua Another one on our list of countries that don't require a degree to teach English is Nicaragua. Nicaragua is a relatively new destination for English teachers abroad, making the competition for positions less intense than other countries. But it’s popularity is growing fast, so you might want to explore this option sooner than later! Non-degree holders will have the opportunity to apply for positions in private schools or language institutes. Positions are available in universities but TEFL certification is required for these roles. The school year runs from February through November, but hiring happens all-year round. As with other countries, your salary depends a lot on your past experience and certifications. Luckily, if you don’t have a degree, rest assured that even with a lower salary the cost of living in Nicaragua is low. Most teachers have found that they are able to live comfortably on a teaching salary. Argentina Argentina is a massive country stretching across the base of South America. When you close your eyes and picture it, you might see snow-capped mountains and beaches (yes it has both!) Argentina is a great option for candidates looking to teaching English abroad without a degree because of its high demand for native (and non-native) English speaking teachers. Most of the English teaching jobs are in Argentina’s capital, Buenos Aires. A TEFL certificate is strongly encouraged to be competitive for positions here, but is not required. It’s not common for schools to provide accomodation for teachers, but many have found a comfortable way of life sharing an apartment with a housemate. The school year takes place from March through to December, so schools normally do their hiring in December, January and February. Some schools will have a second hiring period during the summer months (July and August). Where to teach English in Europe if you don’t have a degree Spain Teaching in Spain - what a dream! It might be surprising to hear that such a popular European country like Spain is an option for teaching English without a degree, but it is. The variety of culture and energy is what draws teachers to Spain. From Barcelona and Madrid, to the southern cities of Seville and Granada - there is something for everyone. Not only is it possible to find teaching positions with no previous experience or qualifications, there are also paid volunteer English teaching jobs available in Spain! That’s a win-win. The only catch is that it might be challenging to apply for all jobs without an EU passport. We recommend checking in with the positions at schools in more detail to find out. Where to teach English in Asia if you don’t have a degree Cambodia Cambodia, located in Southeast Asia, is a vibrant country with a lot to offer English teachers. Currently, there is a high demand for teachers in this location. For English teaching positions in Cambodia, a bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required. If this location interests you, look into the lifestyle and culture of the major cities of Phnom Penh or Siem Reap - this is where the majority of teachers have found positions in the past. Luckily, if Cambodia is one of your top choices, hiring for ESL positions happens all year round - so you can get started on your application right away! No degree? Have you considered volunteer teaching positions abroad? If you don’t have a university or college degree you can also explore volunteer teaching positions in China and other countries overseas. These positions offer a stipend instead of a salary, and their setup means that they are options for you if you haven’t yet graduated or have prior teaching experience. What’s great about these roles is that they are short-term, and allow you to test the waters of teaching without committing to the profession full-time. If you end up loving the experience, you can supplement what you have learned with a TEFL course or certification! Now, close your eyes and imagine your favorite destination. Is it Argentina, Spain, Mexico, Nicaragua, or Cambodia? Picture yourself there, and let us help you make it a reality!

When you describe your teaching and tutoring experience, you should be able to show a step by step plan that the students can follow. The first thing you want to do is write down how long you have been teaching and how much experience you have. In this way, you can give examples of the actual events that you experienced in the course of your job. You also need to know about the things that happened to help students learn from your experiences. This is one way to give students ideas about what they can expect when they attend your classes.Be sure to tell students about the tasks that they would expect from you if they were in your position. Also, it would be good to explain your advantages that you had over other teachers. After your descriptions, it is time to use pictures to give students pi ctures of the things that happened in their class. If you do not have some pictures with you, you can purchase a few photo albums from the library or buy photo albums from your local bookstore. Choose pictures that were very memorable and that will have the maximum impact on the students.Next, it is time to talk to the students about what they should expect from you. Give examples of the tasks that they should do. You can also discuss about the responsibilities that they should handle. Finally, explain to them what benefits they will get from attending your classes. This will allow them to look forward to going to your classes. Just make sure to explain that they will not have to pay anything to be in your classes. These examples are just a few ways to give students some helpful examples. Remember that you want to build confidence and that your students will take the information you are giving them and be able to apply it to improve their lives. By using these techniques, you will be able to give your students' ideas about what they should expect when they attend your classes.

Does Learning Number Theory Help With Algebra?

Does Learning Number Theory Help With Algebra? If you're wondering if learning number theory helps with algebra, the answer is no. The best way to learn a new concept is to immerse yourself in it, and if you can't do that by watching a video or reading an instruction manual, then you'll have to rely on practice.Algebra is a bit different from most subjects, however, because you can't expect your brain to memorize every single rule and equation. You can however, identify one rule and one equation at a time and build up a familiarity with them. Some useful tricks for practicing for math problems are to look at number designs and math patterns. This will help you make distinctions between numbers, patterns, and directions, and this will help you learn about numbers and their uses. When you're at the library, or at the library in person, consider the available space in which to practice. The more shelves you have, the better, since you have more options.Once you've established a routine, yo u might find that you're less likely to find yourself holding back the extra time needed to complete math problems. Use that extra time to help you establish good habits with your numbers, such as counting backwards.Help yourself at the grocery store when you're doing your shopping. Spend a few minutes memorizing the food you purchase, and then remember all the numbers on the package. While this approach may take some time to feel comfortable with, it will make a huge difference if you're going to school or a job that requires a lot of numbers. All of these ideas will help you succeed in math, and learning about number theory will also go a long way toward helping you succeed at whatever math problems you encounter.
